Hey! My name is Erica Lantz. My mother planted the seed of my personal goal to become an independent business owner when I was very young. She owned a small restaurant where I helped throughout my childhood. We had a lot of customers that farmed and grew to enjoy serving and interacting with farmers. I also grew up on a very small acreage and took advantage of both 4-H and FFA opportunities. This led me to a career in food manufacturing where I worked for over a decade. My husband and I had established our own family farm complete with two children. We have a small cow/calf operation in addition to other livestock including horses, sheep, pigs, rabbits, poultry, and even a few mini donkeys. We were very disappointed to hear that Feeders Grain would be closing after 60+ years in business and this re-ignited my desire to become a business owner providing products and services I’m passionate about to people I sincerely enjoy and admire. The business that we had depended on to source the products we needed to be successful in our farming venture for over 10 years and that my husband’s grandfather had used decades before we became involved in agriculture could not simply disappear! I love the idea of a family-owned business supporting agriculture with so much personal history, so we decided this was our opportunity to make my goal of becoming a business owner a reality. Feeders Grain has been the perfect fit for both myself and my family.
I am very proud to be a part of the future of agriculture by supporting producers and their needs. Not only am I invested in agriculture with our own family “farm to fork” production, but I’m invested in everyone’s success with a business that allows me to directly support other producers. We have many items available from animal to human health, seed, feed, animal handling equipment, and fencing.
